(More customer reviews)This solder station is recommended for people that will do a fair amount of soldering as its desk presence doesn't lend itself well to the casual repair. The long cord as well as the tip holder being separate from the base help to alleviate any space constraints and save space for your project and not the tools. I have used this model for 8 hours a day for the last 4 years and the only downside I have is that when the grip starts to get old it gets a bit warm. It's not unusable but after a few thousand hours you will probably have to replace the handle. The up side to this is that the handles are extremely easy to change out.
