(More customer reviews)my tip, the one my iron came with was almost unrecognizable next to a new tip. I almost for got how the porasol with a new tip, some flux, and good solder can do almost anything.
You know the specs on this device. As a regular shop iron, it is not. But as a field iron, it can be beat. It's hot enough, controllable enough, with enough heads to handle any job. you do have to remember to point the vent whole away from you and your work but other than that minor point, a beautiful tool.
