Just had my first electronic soldering experience (replacing 25 bad/blown capacitors on my G5 Imac) and used this to de-solder capacitor leads on a computer circuit board. Being a neophyte, I benefited hugely from demos on Youtube that showed how to use de-solder braid properly, and I would recommend this to anyone who has never used it before.
My first and only experience was with lead-free silver solder, which has a much higher melting point than the super solder I replaced it with. My 50 watt solder iron softened the silver solder, but only just, and it took time. The de-solder wick worked great.
Would purchase again.
