(More customer reviews)This pot works very well for tinning. I've been using Kester 63/37 solder and it works great. It takes about 15 minutes to heat up, the initial startup takes a little longer. Once the pot has solder in it it heats up quicker. If you want to tin wires 1/2 inch or less this is the one to get. Very compact unit, easy to transport.
