(More customer reviews)I'm an electrical engineering major, and I got this soldering iron to do some lab work with. I was rather disappointed with it. The tip got dirty real quick and using the sponge didn't help. It didn't transfer heat very well at all. I think maybe it should just be used for hobby stuff. Just my two cents
