(More customer reviews)I needed a good quality soldering station that fit my budget, and the 2900 fit the bill. With the precise heat control I can finally convert to lead-free projects. I'm sure my future children will thank me.
I like the auto-shutoff feature. Sometimes I get distracted and leave the iron on, but this puppy takes care of that for me after 30 minutes. The tip is easy to change out, just pop out and pop in. The box included a silicone hot pad to grip the tip for quick changes. The iron takes about 3 seconds to reach the programmed temp. The side car is nice, I like having a place to roll my solder wire spool on. The sponge is decent, it does the job. but you will still need a proper brass cleaning pad.
All in all this is a good quality product that I am completely satisfied with. I am also satisfied with SRA Solder and will most definitely buy from them in the future.
