(More customer reviews)With all the hype on TV, I was kinda excited to get this product. But boy am I sorry. The soldering tip is so fragile it broke after 5 mins. I wasn't even pressing hard either. I investigated getting replacement tips on coldheat.com and discovered that the tip alone costs half as much as the gun. Rip off. My Cold Heat gun is currently in my trash can.
Do yourself a favor and buy a real soldering gun. Amazon sells a 30 watt soldering gun for under $4. It's not "Cold Heat" but the tip won't crack after 5 mins.
