It rises to temperature within 10-15 seconds and cools off quickly, the stands have switches that automatically put the station in sleep mode if left for several minutes without use (this can be disabled if you want), the iron holders are comfortable and light, the tips are very easy to change out. All in all I'm very happy with this station. I'm using the two included iron holders and the FM-2022 for removing surface mount devices. I wouldn't change a thing.
