(More customer reviews)I stumbled across this product without knowing it existed. I don't solder a lot but often enough to know that it's hard to keep an iron's point clean and bright. After finding this and looking around a bit more I noticed that you could find the curly bronze in a dish for considerably more money, but I just bought the ball of bronze.
I dip my my hot iron in a tin of resin and then wipe it over and through the bronze, re-tin it if necessary. It works great... lots better than a wet sponge, or a wet paper towel when I can't find the sponge.
IMPORTANT:For $2.95 looks like a great buy but be aware that the shipping and handling was $9.00. I'm not sure I would have bought it if I had of gone through my shopping cart but I used Amazon's one click and there you go, it was mine. I love the product but $11.95 for a ball of shredded metal seems a little steep.
