(More customer reviews)I own several of these Iso Tip Irons. My oldest one (a gray unit) is over 30 years old, my newest is the black Power Pro. They are designed for working on circut boards or lighter guage wires. They are called Iso Tip because they are completly isolated from the power outlet. Once you buy one it will last a lifetime. The only thing that wears out is the battery after several years of use;and it only takes 10 min to replace. The tips can last for years if you take care of them and are available in a wide choice of types from heavy duty to delicate work.
They are just so convienent for elecronic soldering work. Press the button and in seconds its ready use. No cord, no wait for iron to heat up, no table top damage or burns from an iron that takes forever to cool back down.
The black power pro is best if you want to take it to a job site since it has a larger charge capacity. The yellow quick charge is best if you are a heavy user. For everyone else the cheaper gray quick charge is the perfect one to buy. If you are soldering 12 gauge wiring or stained glass a 120V iron is best, but for lighter work this one is great.
