(More customer reviews)If done correctly, this is a great alternative to soldering. It works especially well in areas that damage would occur from use of a torch.
Now for the bad.
Don't buy this if you have anger issues. Using it can be extremely frustrating at times.
You must explicitly follow the directions. Any deviation and your joint will most likely leak.
You must also be very quick with your hands. After the liquid in applied to both surfaces, you bring the fittings/pipe together to seat and turn one of the fittings or pipe 360 degrees to evenly distribute the liquid. This sounds fairly easy, but once the 2 surfaces come into contact with each other, you have 5 seconds to accomplish the before mentioned tasks before the joint hardens. If the fittings don't slide onto the pipe perfectly, you're gonna have a problem because the liquid will harden as you fiddle with the fit. A directional fitting like a 90 or a tee is especially difficult when you try to get a specific orientation.
Your best bet for this product is to use it only where soldering is impractical and with straight fittings.
FYI, the manufacture states that the product lasts for 12 months after being opened.
