The picture that is shown above is what you get when you order except for the sponge. The construction of the product is pretty good. I like the metal funnel that holds the soldering iron the best because its two layered so that if the tip won't accidently get caught in one of the spirals and break when you go to put it in.
The stand itself is a little bit lighter than I would like it, but I easily remedied that by taping a small weight to the bottom of it, which keeps it in place better.
My problem was that there is no sponge that comes with the product like shown in the photo above, and there is no mention on Amazon, the packaging, or instructions (there were no instructions) anywhere whether or not a sponge was supposed to come with it. The sponge tray is not deep and is extremely shallow (with slanted sides instead of straight up-and-down sides, which doesn't make sense), so even if I went about cutting a sponge to the right size, it would slip out unless I was to use some double stick tape.
I was fortunate that another product I ordered at the same time, the Grizzly H7707 Magnifier Work Stand, comes with a sponge tray thats much deeper. I was able to cut and place a regular dish sponge in that one with ease and it stays put.
Pros: Extra protection to keep from breaking the tip. Good to hold a soldering iron. The cons can be remedied.
Cons: Too light. Sponge tray useless (no sponge with product and too small to fit any normal sized sponge). Packaging has no instructions or advice on how to possibly use the product properly.
Suggestions: If you bought this product, Tape a small weight or weighty object to the bottom of the product so it will be heavier and will stay put. Get a small sponge, and double stick it to the product base.
