(More customer reviews)After many times seeing this TV informercial I made a stupid mistake and bought one. Please save yourself money and frustration. This does not work as is seen on television. I don't think it deserves a one star either, so I think I'm generous here.
I've done electronics soldering in my earlier life with industrial irons and thought that the technology has changed so much that things done from the informercial by this junk were real. They are not. I've gone through 2 tips - tips are charcoal like chiseled bits. The way it works is that the chisel bit is made up of two parallel bits. Both have to make contact to the site in order to perform the soldering. I used it 3 times and lost 2 bits: one bit burned enough on one side that now it no longer make proper contact to make the soldering. The other also had some burned out problem before the bit snapped off.
I'm about to get a Weller soldering station from this site; this is the brand that I worked with before and I'm almost sure that it will deliver.
